Parenting Support

Young Greenwich's Parenting Support Service aims to equip and empower the parents/guardians of young people aged 10-19 (or up to 25 if your child has SEND) to achieve better outcomes for their own mental health and wellbeing, and that of their families.

We provide a non-judgemental space for parents to connect, share and grow together. Our approach is unique because it’s less focused on your ‘parenting style’, and more on YOU as an individual: what you need, what drives you, and what can support you to be a happier person and parent.

The overall support we offer is tailored to your requirements, but could to include the provision of:

  • Counselling
  • Time and space for parents to focus on their lives, aside from being in the role of a parent - Peer Support
  • A safe space to talk about issues
  • Support around managing children’s difficult behaviour
  • Coping strategies to manage your feelings
  • Discussions around feelings and coping strategies
  • Signposting and referral to other sources of support, both individual and group
