Local Councillors visit to Avery Hill Youth hub

7th Dec, 2022 13:45pm

Eltham and Avery Hill councillors Lauren Dingsdale and Sammy Backon recently visited Avery Hill Youth Club.

During the session, both councillors were provided with the opportunity to see young people take part in a variety of activities such as arts & crafts, a youth forum, and sporting games.

They were impressed with the facilities available to young people in the area with Cllr Dingsdale stating that

"I was delighted to come and see the Avery Hill Youth Club in action. Facilities like these are so important for our young people, and I was so impressed to see the range of activities that take place and listen to some of the songs composed by the members in their very own music studio.

It is great that we can welcome local councillors to our hubs and we are very grateful for their support in investing in young people.

Avery Hill Youth Hub, based in Eltham is a place for young people aged 8-19 (and up to 25 for those with SEND) to learn new skills, meet new people and have fun.
