Young Greenwich took part in our annual Red, White & Black Day parade this year that took place on Saturday 18th October 2025, with more than 500 young people from local schools and other community groups, raising their flags to celebrate the unity and togetherness the Royal Borough of Greenwich and Charlton Athletic Football Club has ahead of the club’s win against Sheffield Wednesday at The Valley.
Red, White and Black Day is a cornerstone of Charlton Athletic’s long-standing commitment to equality and inclusion, woven into the fabric of the club. A proud part of the club’s identity for more than 30 years, the initiative once again united players, fans, staff, partners and the wider community.

This year’s parade was delivered in partnership by the club, Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) and University of Greenwich. The parade began at Charlton Station and concluded at The Valley. It was led by Vice-Chairman Paul Elliott CBE MBE.
Charlton academy players joined the parade, while first-team players wore special Red, White and Black Day warm-up shirts ahead of kick-off, donated by club partner Reebok.
