YOUNG GREENWICH PARTNERS - 2025/26 - Try something new!

We are delighted to announce our partner list for 2025/26.

Some old and some new, but we are excited to see as many of our Young Greenwich young people involved in not just our youth sessions, but our partner sessions too.

 SPARKS –  A weekly programme of free filmmaking workshops for Greenwich residents. Join our weekly club to learn filmmaking skills and build confidence as a filmmaker. Participants will learn all about the process of making films, including directing, camera operation, scriptwriting and film crew roles and acting for the camera. Each week, the group will take part in practical activities and use these to produce a film that explores issues around mental health. This project has been funded by Young Greenwich and is free of charge for young people who live or go to school in the London Borough of Greenwich.

 

GREENWICH YOUTH FOR CHRIST - GYFC is a Christian Youth Work charity who are passionate about seeing young people living life to the fullest and being all they were created to be. We welcome young people from all backgrounds, all faiths and none. We work closely with local churches to offer open-access youth clubs throughout the week, where young people are safe, heard, supported and fed. Groups will include board games, table tennis, Nintendo Switch, pool, art and crafts, quizzes, discussions, debates and of course food. We look to provide a space where young people can enjoy themselves, but also, if they need, have conversations around some of the big issues affecting them and their lives. METRO JUDO CLUB - METRO Judo Club is a community-based martial arts club. Our state-of-the-art dojo in Greenwich is an inspiring place to learn the Olympic art of Judo from coaches who have trained Olympians! We have a range of activities for members of different abilities, and encourage participation from a young age. Classes are available for judokas aged 5 years upwards. The club also offers sessions for young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Get in touch to find out more!

 

B YOUNG STARS - At B Young Stars, our main aim is to support your education. If you're struggling at school, or even if you just want to learn more, we could help you. Based at Woolwich Common Youth Club, Avery Hill Youth Hub and Hawksmoor Youth Centre, we deliver personalised learning programmes in English, Maths, and Science. We can complement what you have already learn in school. It's not all learning, though! You can also take part in our sports activities to take the pressure off education. We hope to provide a fun environment for you to progress in. Have a look at our upcoming sessions below!

 

STREETWISE LAWS - Streetwise Law, in partnership with Young Greenwich, currently have a fantastic opportunity to work with your school. Streetwise Law delivers a community education project working under the Young Greenwich Partnership, which involves educating young people about their rights and criminal law. Funding has been secured to deliver our programme in schools in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. A 6-week programme which is completely free of charge is delivered, including the following workshops: stop and search, rights on arrest, joint enterprise, sexting and other online offences, drug awareness, the trial procedure, including a mock trial. Our workshops are delivered by a criminal barrister who brings her experience of the criminal justice system directly into the classroom. Previously, we have partnered with Plumstead Manor, Eltham Hill, Thomas Tallis and Stationers' Crown Woods schools and are now looking for another school to partner. As stated, there would be no charge to the school for this exciting offer. We usually work with students from year 9 or 10, but the programme content can be adapted to work with younger or older children.

 

TRAMSHED - Tramshed Youth Theatre is a fantastic place for those who love acting, writing or directing. For almost 50 years, we've been a launchpad for creative talent, including Booker Prize winner Bernadine Evaristo, who credits Tramshed with nurturing her love for the arts. If you're passionate about performing, storytelling or simply want to express yourself, our Youth Theatre is the perfect place for you. See more of what we do below!

 

ART HUB STUDIOS - Art Hub Studios is a non-profit arts organisation specialising in artist studios and fine art facilities. We have been providing all-inclusive, affordable artists' studios in South East London for 21 years and are dedicated to supporting artists at all stages of their career. We deliver art workshops in schools and during the summer holidays at our studios in Woolwich. All our workshops are led by local artists focusing on their specialisms across printmaking, painting and sculpture. GTC - If you need a little bit of extra support with your school subjects, Greenwich Tuition Centre could help. We offer an outstanding tuition service in Maths, English and Science for Primary, Secondary and A-Level students. Our small-group tuition sessions are entirely managed by qualified and experienced teachers who provide a range of innovative and engaging resources to cater for each student’s individual learning needs. Contact us to find out how to join or for any enquiries

 

WAPPING WILDCATS - Volleyball Open Community sessions are for ages 11-18 to come along and try a new sport. We run at Samuel Montague Youth Centre (Fireball Beach Courts) from 5-7 pm, April - August and at Shooters Hill 6th form college from 6-8 pm, September to March.

 

AIM - Autistic Inclusive Meets is a not-for-profit organisation created by autistic people to enable families with autistic children, and autistic individuals to get out into the community and socialise in an accepting, inclusive environment with like-minded peers. We provide support and advice to families and individuals, promote acceptance of autism through education of the general public, and protect autistic rights by campaigning against autistic mistreatment. There are various fun and engaging activities that we provide for young people and their families.

 

EYE4CHANGE - Resilience Through the Lens, Photography Workshop for ages 10- 19. Through this project, you will discover the power of photography, gain creative and technical skills to communicate your ideas and develop your self-expression through photography. Workshops will also provide a means of connection and community to improve confidence, resilience, wellbeing and a sense of belonging, in a safe and welcoming environment. These FREE workshops take place on Wednesdays, 4:30 pm- 6:00 pm and on Thursdays, 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm, starting on the 7th May for 10 weeks. They are led by eye4Change at Thames-Side Studios, SE18 5NR. XPLORE - Xplore is a healthy lifestyle programme that provides a friendly, fun and safe environment to help children, young people and their families lead healthier lifestyles and become more active. The programme is designed to give lots of handy tips around healthy eating and activity so children, young people and their families can try new things to improve their health and wellbeing within their everyday lives. All programmes include healthy eating workshops and physical activity sessions that are age appropriate, and offers ongoing support to families after completing the programme to help them to maintain a healthier lifestyle. Xplore is a free 8-week programme aimed at children and young people aged 4-19, who are above a healthy weight (between 91st - 98th BMI centiles). Children and young people above the 99th centile and/ or with complex needs may be referred to more suitable services. This will be discussed with the parent/ guardian by the Xplore team. 

 

AIRCRAFT CIRCUS ACADEMY - Join us at Aircraft Circus Academy! In these weekly sessions, participants will learn exciting skills in aerial hoop, aerial silks, juggling, hula hoop, and much more. Classes will be led by our expert trainers, who will create a safe, supportive, friendly, and fun environment for students to learn in! These classes are targeted at those who would not otherwise be able to take part in circus classes. We have worked with young people and adults with varied SEND. For this project, we will target those with ASD and long-term Mental Health conditions. As part of our recruitment process, we will contact local SENCo’s. This class would be aimed at those who can attend the session independently and attend mainstream school. Participants must be living in or attending school in the Royal Borough of Greenwich and have a special educational need or disability (SEND). 

 

JK PERFORMING ARTS - JKPA is a local theatre school for children aged 4- 19. We offer classes in various disciplines, including acting, musical theatre, street dance, LAMDA training and confidence building for little ones. Our ethos is rooted in the belief that the arts are a fantastic way to boost children's confidence and encourage positive relationships. We have a small team that prioritizes consistency in teaching and our class sizes are kept small to ensure quality teaching across the board. Now is an amazing time to sign up for a FREE trial, especially as we are now working on our summer showcase held at The Bob Hope Theatre!

 

SPORT WORKS - We run SEND-centred sessions, we have a group for ages 10- 14, in addition we have a group for ages 15- 18. These are designed to enhance physical and mental well-being for each young participant by integrating a variety of engaging activities. They begin with warm-up games to foster a welcoming atmosphere before transitioning into sporting activities, arts, dance, crafts and music to promote physical fitness and teamwork. These sessions run every Saturday during term time, 10 am- 3 pm. We run in 5-week blocks to give young people a chance to develop and make connections with similar indvidual's.

 

GREENWICH PENINSULA FC - As part of the Universal Youth Provision commissioned by Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT), we deliver football-focused youth engagement sessions. Most weekends, teams participate in the Junior Premier League, Selkent League, and Kent Youth League. We aim to support young people aged 10- 19 (up to 25 with SEND) who live or study within the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Our project provides structured after-school and weekend football training programs, designed not only to enhance physical fitness and well-being but also to cultivate essential teamwork skills and facilitate personal development. Beyond the pitch, we're committed to supporting positive behaviour and promoting healthy living habits. Our sessions are bookable- all participants are required to complete a registration and consent form provided by CACT before taking part. Get in touch to book your sessions!

 

ROYAL MUSEUMS - The National Maritime Museum have lots of projects aimed at young people. We offer weekly clubs, work experience placements, and creative opportunities specifically for 13-24-year-olds in Greenwich. We offer long and short-term projects that explore wider conversations around identity, heritage and belonging. Getting involved with our projects can help you gain key transferable skills and experiences, build resilience, develop positive social networks and feel confident in your potential. From gaining valuable new skills and hands-on experience to joining our regular creative drop-ins, there is something for everyone aged 13-24 - have a look below!

 

TRINITY VINEYARD - At Trinity Vineyard, we believe that the church should be a place where everyone is fully known and loved for who they are, while also having the opportunity to grow into who they are meant to be. We run a couple of local community projects, including a Friday Youth Drop-in in partnership with Tramshed, B Young Stars, and Greenwich Youth for Christ at the Tramshed.
