An exhilarating Halloween event on 31st October 2023 saw an impressive turnout of new families and young attendees, fostering community spirit and joy. With an array of engaging activities, the venue was abuzz with pumpkin carving, mask decoration, face painting, and a variety of crafting delights. The main area featured glitter tattoos and cake decoration, while the hall hosted an energetic disco, dance-offs, and an assortment of entertaining games such as 'Pin the Nose on the Witch' and 'Spoon and Eye Races'. Guests also were served hot curry and rice, complemented by fresh fruit and chocolate biscuits for dessert.

The event, inclusive of committee staff, youth forum members, and young Greenwich staff, successfully united people of all ages, from young children to adults. The collaborative gaming sessions sparked fun and friendly competition, even transforming parents into festive 'Mummys'.

Many families experienced the joy of pumpkin carving for the first time, while face painting sessions encouraged creative expression and skill development. Guests enthusiastically participated in sports, dancing, and socialising, creating new connections and memories.

One grateful parent, Candice, shared, "I couldn't manage with all the kids usually, but the venue and event were so well supervised and delivered. I could let my kids enjoy the activities while I looked after the baby. My kids had a fabulous time, thanks to Hawksmoor."

This successful initiative was made possible by the collaborative efforts of Young Greenwich, Moorings Residents Group, and Peabody, underscoring their commitment to community welfare and engagement.
