Friday the 11thof September saw 72 teams narrowed down to 8, as the finalists battled it out at Samuel Montagu to be crowned the 2015 Greenwich Invitational champions.

Team Roasting were the ones to prevail as they came out on top, winning not just the title, but also a Playstation4 for each team member.

With over 570 young people from Greenwich taking part in the annual tournament over the last 6 weeks, once again The Greenwich Invitational proved its popularity in the area.

“The Greenwich Invitational was a huge success again this year,” said Matt Horne, Youth Service Partnership Manager at Charlton Athletic Community Trust.

“As well as Team Roasting, I would like to thank all the young people of Greenwich who participated and contributed to this fantastic annual event.

“I would also like to thank the Royal Borough of Greenwich council and tournament sponsors Canary Wharf Construction Association for their funding and additional support of the competition.

A final presentation will take place in October, giving all parents, families and friends the chance to support and celebrate another successful event.
