Run by Charlton Athletic Community Trust in partnership with the Royal Borough of Greenwich and Charlton Athletic Football Club, Young Greenwich Summer Camp is a free weekly programme from 27 July-21 August combining physical activity with active learning and a youth club offer.
Each day will start with registration and breakfast from 9am and end after lunch around 2:30pm.
Please note that, to be eligible for the programme, your child has to be between 8 and 16 years old (or up to 18 for those with special educational needs and disabilities) and live, work or study in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
The programme is split into four weeks: weeks 1 and 2 for 13 to 16-year-olds and weeks 3 and 4 for 8 to 12-year-olds. Each cohort is eligible for no more than one week.
Unfortunately the summer programme is now fully booked - we're looking to create an additional week towards the end of August.

All sessions will be delivered in accordance with Government and Public Health guidance and advice. Additional guidance will be followed specific to each session such as that laid down by Associations or Governing Bodies for specific activities re COVID 19. Social distancing measures will be in place, temperature checks undertaken of all staff and participants, hand washing procedures will be observed and hand sanitiser will be widely available for use. All venues will be cleaned on a daily basis and any equipment used will be cleaned and sanitised after each individual session. There will be access to PPE should it be deemed necessary.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich is also offering
60 places per week
to young people aged 8-15 in Royal Greenwich. Places are free to those who are receiving free school meals, or are currently children in our care or families who are supported by RBG network. The programme is open to all though so if these options are not suitable you can still enrol on the sport camp for a fee of £10 per person for the whole week.
The options are:
1) multi-sports camp at Sutcliffe Park Sports Centre, or
2) a dance based camp at the new Plumstead Centre
