Young Greenwich Summer Trips!

This summer, Young Greenwich is delivering a range of fantastic sessions and exciting trips!

Young people who are looking to stay active, learn new things or explore London city, can get involved with different summer activities until the end of August.

Young Greenwich Summer Trips:

Wednesday 26th July, 9am - 5pm – Camber Sands

Kick-start the summer at Camber Sands! Take walks across the beach and have fun by exploring East Sussex’s coast.

Friday 28th July, 10am - 4pm – Charlton Lido

For those looking for a splashing summer in London, Young Greenwich will be heading to Charlton Lido! This outdoor swimming pool is based in the borough and great for a summer activity.

Wednesday 2nd August, 10am-4pm – London Eye & Dungeons

Explore the city with two destinations in one day! Start the day with a fantastic view from The London Eye which is on the South Bank of the River Thames. After checking out the scenery, the day trip will move to The London Dungeon. Using a mixture of live actors, special effect and rides, the dungeon recreates historical events in a humorous.

Friday 4th August, 9am-4.30pm – Chatham Ski Centre

For a sense of adventure this summer, Young Greenwich will be taking the summer trip to Chatham Ski Centre. Whether you want to take on the indoor ski-slopes, go snowboarding or even go tobogganing down the longest track in the UK, Chatham Ski Centre has it all.

Tuesday 8th & Wednesday 9th August, 9am-5pm – Monopoly Challenge

Ever thought of playing Monopoly without the boards? Take part in the Young Greenwich Monopoly Challenge. Find clues, get involved with the tasks and discover the Royal Borough of Greenwich at the same time!

Friday 11th August, 10am-4pm – Canoeing & BBQ

Get active this summer by joining the Canoeing session at Southmere Lake in Thamesmead followed by a casual BBQ to end the day.

Monday 14th – Wednesday 16th August – Kingswood Residential

Want a longer summer trip? Come along to the 3-day stay with Kingswood. Situated across various locations in the UK, Kingswood is a place that combines adventure with education. There are great activities for young people to get involved in such as rock climbing, high ropes, archery, BMX riding, problem solving games and to top it all off,  a pool party!

Wednesday 23rd August, 9am-7pm - Chessington World of Adventures

Taking on the theme of adventure, Young Greenwich will be heading over to Chessington World of Adventures! Get to know the Chessington and have fun on the fantastic rides! After all, what is summer without a theme park trip?

Friday 25th August, 1:30pm-4:30pm – Go-Karting

Stick to the tracks this summer with a Go-Karting trip! Taking place in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, young people will have the opportunity to race and ride their way to the finish line.

Tuesday 29th August, 10am-4pm - Tower Bridge and Clipper Exhibition

Bringing summer back to London, Young Greenwich will be having another 2 trips in 1 day. Starting off at the Tower Bridge and discovering its history followed by the Clipper Exhibition.

Thursday 31st August, 12pm-4pm – Fun Day

Ending the summer trips, there will be a Fun Day at the Avery Hill Hub with more activities for all members.
