Tuesday 8th August 2017
Young Greenwich members went on a trip to London Waterloo on Wednesday 2nd August. Kick starting the second week of their summer, members spent the day exploring some of the attractions this part of the city had to offer.
The London Eye 4D Experience
Starting the day with a digital view, Young Greenwich members took part in the 4D experience. Using specially designed glasses, members had the fantastic opportunity to watch the first live action 4D film produced in the UK. Bringing the visuals to life, the film was a montage of 3D aerial photography over London and included real-feel physical effects to add to the experience.
The London Dungeon
Young Greenwich members then went on to their next attraction of the day, the London Dungeon. Taking on a thrilling adventure, the young people took part in the various activities within the venue which includes a cast of theatrical actors. Their action-packed time at the Dungeon consisted of 19 interactive shows with special effects and 2 underground rides. To top it all off, the young people were able to learn about the history of Great Britain during their experience.
The London Eye
From underground adventures to overground views, the young people were taken to their next destination to get a different perspective of the city. Members were taken to the London Eye which captured some of the most iconic monuments including St Paul’s Cathedral, The Houses of Parliament and The Shard. Situated on a 443-feet-tall structure on the south bank of the River Thames, the young people ended their day looking at the phenomenal scenery.
