A Year 10 student from Woolwich Poly recently had the chance to take up work experience with the Royal Greenwich Youth Service.
Tonye Joseph spent two weeks working across many different strands of Charlton Athletic Community Trust’s work, including the Youth Service.
During his placement, Tonye had the chance to gain first hand experience including working in Primary Schools, Secondary Schools as well as the Trust’s Social Inclusion Programme and the 50 plus Extra Time group.
Matt Horne, Greenwich Youth Service Partnership Manager, said, "Tonye has worked extremely well and covered lots of different types of sessions during his brief time with us. I am sure this will hold him in good stead for the future.
Tonye added, "I feel I gained a lot of confidence from working with Charlton over many diverse and different types of sessions. Working with the Youth Service also improved my Social Skills and interaction with young people. This opportunity should help me as I want to continue my football career.”
