The winners of the Photo:Greenwich competition were recently crowned, with a presentation made at Plumstead Manor School.
Matt Horne, Royal Greenwich Youth Partnership and Valley Central Manager at Charlton Athletic Community Trust, attended the school to present the winners with their prize, a DSLR camera each.

After a number of entries for the photography competition, a select panel including Trust Ambassador and Capital FM Breakfast Show presenter, Dave Berry picked the top two, who both happened to attend Plumstead Manor School.
Year 12 student Fatma Kavak, was one of the winners, with her pictures focusing on nature and her surroundings, she said, “This competition was a great experience and I really enjoyed it. I also used the pictures I took for the competition as part of my art course.”
Fellow pupil, Oshin Gurung, of year 10, also claimed joint top spot with a portfolio of snaps of monuments taken around Greenwich, “It was a really interesting brief and I’m proud to have won!"
Matt Horne added, ‘Through the Royal Greenwich Youth Service we aim to engage young people in through a variety of different initiatives from sport to media, volunteering to the creative arts and much more. We have something for everyone and this competition highlights just one of the fantastic opportunities we have provided for young people to get involved with.”
