Thursday 18th April 2013
We will be holding sign up open evenings at Woolwich Common Youth Hub, for young people who are interested in starting their Bronze or Silver Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Awards.
Come along on either Tuesday 30th April from 5-7pm or Friday 3rd May from 5-7pm to find out more information about the DofE Award or to sign up to the programme.
Leading youth Charity the DofE gives all young people the chance to develop skills for work and life, fulfil their potential and have a brighter future. This is a fantastic opportunity for those aged 14 plus, especially for 6th form students looking to enhance their CV or University applications.
A DofE programme is a real adventure from beginning to end. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from. You just need to be aged between 14 and 24 and realise there’s more to life than sitting on a sofa watching life pass you by.
By doing your DofE, you're in for an amazing adventure and masses of fun as you take part in a range of activities, all leading to the achievement of an Award that's recognised by university’s and employers alike.
You can do programmes at three levels, which when completed, lead to a Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
We are giving young people who live, go to school or attend a youth club within Royal Greenwich the chance to do their Bronze and Silver Awards and will provide expedition training and on-going support.
Sessions are held at Woolwich Common Youth Hub, Nightingale Place, SE18 4HE, on Tuesday evenings from 5-7pm.
