Over 500 young people from across Royal Greenwich spent their Easter break enjoying holiday fun and courses with the borough’s youth service, Young Greenwich.
A whole range of special activities were organised including sports workshops, cooking lessons, music studio sessions and mentoring on employment advice.
The highlight of the fortnight, however, proved to be the trip to Chessington World of Adventures amusement park in Surrey.
50 young people took part in the trip, enjoying the aquarium, rollercoasters and rides.
Annie from Abbey Wood, who is a regular at Young Greenwich’s Hawksmoor Youth Hub, said:
“I had a great time at Chessington. Lots of the older ones looked after us so we were able to go on all of the big rides. I can’t wait to go on more trips and courses in the Summer!”
Term activities resume at Young Greenwich youth hubs this week with evening sports, leisure, volunteering opportunities, arts and many more on the cards.
A new full calendar of events and activities taking place across the Royal Borough of Greenwich will be up on www.young-greenwich.org.uk soon.
