Thursday 2nd July 2015
The 6 finalists have been selected to take part in the Perform:2015 live auditions next Monday, July 6th. These young and aspiring musicians have been given the chance to audition in front of Capital Breakfast radio presenter Dave Berry, Autumn Sharif who opened for Lawson last year after winning Perform:2014 and Rebecca Kane, General Manager of The O2.
The finalists are band San Agila, duo MMDGWW and solo artists Chief Sarpong, Jerusha Frimpong, Olivia Hallet and Caitlin Benn.
From these 6, 2 winners will be selected by our judging panel to open for the British pop/rock band Rixton who are headlining the Trust’s annual charity concert on Thursday 9th July.
Hosted at the Indigo at the O2, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for young talent to make an impact in the music circles. Perform:2014 winner Autumn Sharif used her opportunity as a platform into the industry and is excited to return this year on the judging panel.
“I auditioned as a contestant last year and I wouldn’t have imagined that I’d be asked to be apart of the judging panel this year”, she said.
“A massive thank you to Charlton Athletic Community Trust for this opportunity and good luck to the contestants auditioning”.
The 2 Perform:2015 winners will be announced after their audition on Monday, giving them 3 days to prepare for their moment in lights, playing in front of 2600 fans at the Indigo at the O2.
