The Royal Borough of Greenwich Youth Service, run by the Charlton Athletic Community Trust, have been working with Crown Woods Academy to help young people aged 16 and over that are studying their BTEC qualifications.
As part of this, we have delivered a session where the students took part in a basketball match where they had to use wheelchairs. The aim of this was to see how a disability affects you and what adjustments need to be made.
Matt Horne, Youth Service Partnership Manager said, "It is important to educate young people on disability and to get them to think about how disability affects other people. The match was successful and the young people learnt a lot from the activity."
