Charlton Athletic F.C are pleased to announce an exciting new initiative for young fans at Charlton.
At the Charlton vs Blackpool game on the 13th December at the Valley, the club is launching a junior council. This is one of the first of it’s kind in football, where supporters between 11-14 are selected to sit on a board alongside Charlton’s CEO Katrien Meire, a first team player and the club’s development staff.
The lucky panellists will assist with making decisions about important issues at the club, including junior memberships, devising new ideas about how to fill The Valley on match days, being a voice for our young fans and much more.
As well as having a say in how the club engages with young fans, those on-board will learn important life skills such as leadership, interpersonal and communication skills and working as part of a team; all of which are very important when venturing into the world of employment.
A great initiative and once again Charlton prove to be a leader in youth development.
