Don’t know what to do this Easter? Hawksmoor Youth Club will be delivering a series of themed workshops throughout the school holidays, including a mini Monopoly competition, an adventure activity day and ice skating.
Hawksmoor are also planning to do baking and creative art and crafts workshops. Alongside this, young people can also take part in a bike repair workshop, where you can bring along your bike to have it serviced.
Hawksmoor always welcomes new members and is a free service, run as part of the Royal Greenwich Youth Service, offering activities and workshop based sessions for young people aged 10-19, up to 25 with learning difficulties and disabilities.
Claire Hallinan, Unit Manager at Hawksmoor Youth Club, said, “Our youth workers have planned activities to encourage young people, who can access Hawksmoor Youth Club, to be creative, learn new skills and make friends during the school holidays. As the nice weather approaches and the lighter nights are here, what better to do than cycle along the river Thames on a bike you serviced yourself and know how to maintain.”
Taiwo, who regularly attends Hawksmoor Youth Club, added, “I have never been ice skating before so am really looking forward to the trip to Gillingham; I can’t believe it’s only costing £10 for the day which includes lunch. From attending this club I’ve had the chance to take part in so many great activities.”
