The young people at Hawksmoor youth club took part in practical cooking sessions to celebrate Pancake Day as part of the on-going Festivals and Cooking Project.
Over 70 pancakes were made during two sessions, providing the opportunity to learn about the traditions of pancake day, basic health, hygiene and food safety practices. A separate cool frying pan was used for a pancake flipping competition to see who could flip a pancake the highest.
Dave Martin Lead Youth Worker said “This was a fun activity that involved a large number of young people as it took only a minute to produce a delicious pancake.”
