Young people from each of the four youth clubs in the borough joined together to go and see a Christmas theatre production.
Young people had the chance to meet others from across the borough and share an experience they all have a keen interest in, the theatre.
Youth service staff arranged for 40 young people to go to the Greenwich Theatre to see a festive pantomime version of Puss in Boots.
Staff from each hub offered young people, who have an interest in art and culture and performing arts, the chance to attend the trip. Greenwich Theatre is a small company and needs the support of local services to support them and the next generation of young people who are interested in all aspects of drama and theatre, from those who want to be an actor to those who are musicians or work behind the scenes as technicians.
Claire Hallinan, Unit Manager at Hawksmoor Youth Club, said, “It was fantastic seeing all of the young people joining in with the show, it was a night to remember and the young people are already asking if we are going again next year.”
Kody, who attended the trip, added, “It was so funny I loved the bit when they got us all up joining in the show dancing and clapping. I would definitely go again!”
