Kicking August off with 200 young people attending their summer programme, Charlton Triangle Homes (CTH) ended it with a trip to Thorpe Park on Wednesday 29 August.
CTH is a subsidiary of Peabody and in partnership with Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) and Young Greenwich, have delivered a 4-week summer programme foryoung people aged 6-19 who live in Royal Greenwich.
Taking part in free activities, the young people had the opportunity to get involved in sports, fitness, arts & crafts and digital media. In addition to the fun-filled activities, young people also had the opportunity to get involved with the London Fire Brigade course, delivered by The Local Intervention Fire Education (LIFE).
CTH closed what was a busy summer with a trip to Thorpe Park. 45 young people travelled to the theme park, enjoying thrilling rides such as The Swarm, Stealth and Nemesis Inferno. The young people were joined by some of CACT’s coaches, CTH staff and two police officers who have worked with the young people during the summer, adding a friendly atmosphere to the day.
Neighbourhood Manager Community and Communications at CTH, Jasmin said:
“Thorpe Park was a great way to round up five weeks of summer activities. The group thoroughly enjoyed the day and the sun even came out after a morning of rain, the day was the perfect way to reward the kids for their dedication and participation throughout the programme”
Young Greenwich would like to thank CTH and CACT for helping to deliver a fantastic summer programme and trip.
